There are only a few tip angles for carbide tips, and only a few holders for each. For example DCxT has a 55 degree angle and typical holders have them with a 87 degree frontangle and 32 degree backangle. http://www.carbideanddiamondtooling.com/Turning.Tool.Holders.Screw.Lock.SDJC.SDPCN.SDUC.DC_T.Inserts CCxT is 80 with 5 and 5 (typically) http://www.carbideanddiamondtooling.com/Turning.Tool.Holders.Screw.Lock.SCLC.SCLP.SCVC.SCMC.SCMP.SCGC.SCGP.SCRC.SCRP.CC_T.SP_T.insert That only really leaves the VNMx narrow-diamond ones, at 35 degrees included http://www.carbideanddiamondtooling.com/Turning.Tool.Holders.Multi.Lock.MVGN.MVJN.MVTN.MVVN.MVLN.VNM_Inserts -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list Emc-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
