Project shelved. Potential spindle drive belt setup, at least 2 speed, for the toy mill. I would have had to make each one by itself & glued/screwed them into an assembly that ran true enough. Wisely I came to the conclusion that I did not have machinery that could do that accurately enough. Once the Sheldon is working, I'll need a bigger version of that threading tool kit you found for me 3 or 4 years ago, sized for TLM. But those chips are small, not really capable of less tpi than 18. 18-50, maybe even 0-80, they work nice. But I'm thinking I ought to wait and get this running before I start collecting a kilobucks worth of tooling for it. I've got 2 or 3 holders, and some hss that needs real serious work on a diamond lap I don't have yet to actually make it cut cold butter. Thank you Andy, This makes it conceptually a little simpler, and more do-able too. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
