I have managed to incorporate the commits from the feature/reverse-run-master2 branch into the current version master as well as fixing issue #524.
It was done by cherry picking one commit at a time and running make after any required edits. I did find that three of the original commits were not needed due to later changes to tp.c I have the resultant branch on my GitHub repo and am unsure as to what I should do to make it available to others.
