There are quite a few changes to the original commits so I think if anyone is 
interested they should probably run some tests as well.

I think the testing has been done and the devs tried to push it to master
but had to revert because it has been so long. So you've just caught it up.
The best one to get involved is Rene.

Maybe add some comments in the relevant commits and he might see them.
