A protocol for storing and retrieving the data make me think about ordinary databases for storage and SQL to acces the database. Once wrote a small graphical tool and if I remember correct used SQL for communication but are not totally sure. > The current standard (IEEE13399) Isn't perfect but it's a good starting > point. It has these core concepts: Read a little bit about this standard but have to pay for full access. Something is mentioned about DB and guess it stands for database. Guess this standard maybe is quite much about rules for the stored records?
