>From the BSI World Voltages Handbook:

UK: 50Hz +/- 1% (ex N. Ireland)

USA: varies from state to states from 60Hz (no tol - whatever that
means) to +/- 0.3%, 0.2, 0.08, 0.06%

Subject: Supply Frequency Variations

Does anybody know or is able to point me in the right direction
for the supply frequency variations that the electric generating
companies expect/allow (both the UK and the US). I'm looking for a
percentage tolerance on the 50/60Hz nominal.

Thanks,
