Jim , It was a well known fact that when a new 220Kv power line was put through a farm area sout of Ottawa, the local cattle refused to enter their metal sheds due to contact potential which is a function of being immersed in a high intensity field.So they are sensitive and thso nose ( as stated) is very vunlnerable.
