Hi Kim EN61000-4-2 requires at least 10 discharges, so if you want your product to conform to this standard, a minimum of 10 discharges should be performed...you can do more if you want to, I guess. There may be some standard for some product type somewhere that calls up the test procedure of EN61000-4-2 and requires 50 discharges but I don't know of it.
