Historical bit of news ...

I asked a similar question a couple of years ago here
and was referred to a gentleman who was in the
writing of the original FCC limits.  Can't remember
the man's name but he's a professor at Univ. Penn.
if I remember correctly.

Anywho, the answer I got back from him was that
the limits were empirically derived in reference to
interfering with television signals.  So, the worst
case (which turned out to be Class B) was a tv
back to back across a wall from another device
in an apartment complex.
