Douglas, EN 55024:1998 only supercedes EN 50082-1 if your product is by definition ITE equipment. Assuming your product is ITE, if you intend to sell that product after the date of withdrawl 2001-07-01, the product has to comply with EN 55024 and this has to be noted on a new DoC.
