Dear Ken, John and All,
Further to Ken Javor comments (27/07/2003 02:57 AM):

I want to avoid any lashings in whatsoever form, when I post that
experience. I am truly concern if similar lighting does hit the markets
one of theses days.

It is a telephone set wired to a land line.

I like John's comments about matching (correlating) the blinking to the
hum. I did not notice any correlation. I must say, human ears are rather
subjective and the lack of proper lab instruments made the diagnosis
substantially more difficult. What I did not add to my post is that I am
550 km from my lab at that point in time and am on holiday (vacation).

:-) It is not in anyway like the story of John's ( 27/07/2003 01:08 AM)
correspondence with the sailor who 'had' the wooden leg.

> The OP didn't mention that: if it is, it reminds me of the story of the

I must admit that whichever newspaper that ran the story must have some
team for the 'editorial' or perhaps it is just the readers forum page?

cheers
