There is probably nothing you can do except run it on Windows 98. We had a similar problem with Schaffner EPS 9980 when we upgraded to a PC running Windows XP. This is not too much of a problem as we still use the "old" PC to drive the hardware. It just makes it a little more difficult to write the reports as the plots cannot be combined with the text and have to be generated as individual pages from the hardware PC. Regards, Neil Helsby

I have been using it for years on an older PC system running Windows 98. This software controls the HP 8566B spectrum analyzer, through an NI GPIB card. I recently updated my PC system to one that runs Windows XP Pro. The software will not find the product key when used under Windows 2000 or XP. The product key connects to the parallel port. I tried using Win 98 on my new system, and the 85869PC software worked, but the display does not look right because there are no Win 98 drivers for it. I called Agilent, and of course, they do not support this software anymore. I know this is an older setup, but has anyone had sucess running this software on a newer PC system with Win 2K or XP? Thanks.
