Years ago, we managed to transfer the sw into NT by new HP Basic but that is as far as it goes, I believe. I believe if you use the PC as standalone (no network-no worry with security issues that are no more supported for old OS) you can continue with the old operating system. We still use the old, just pulled out the ethernet cable...

I have been using it for years on an older PC system running Windows 98. This software controls the HP 8566B spectrum analyzer, through an NI GPIB card. I recently updated my PC system to one that runs Windows XP Pro. The software will not find the product key when used under Windows 2000 or XP. The product key connects to the parallel port. I tried using Win 98 on my new system, and the 85869PC software worked, but the display does not look right because there are no Win 98 drivers for it. I called Agilent, and of course, they do not support this software anymore. I know this is an older setup, but has anyone had sucess running this software on a newer PC system with Win 2K or XP?
