I have been known to float an oscilloscope chassis at 1.5kV to probe a
floating circuit. Quite a wakeup when I would forget and lean on the
'scope chassis and grounded item at the same time. In spite of hundreds
of good shocks (mostly under 500 volts) I only got carted off to the
hospital one time for a shock. I still consider moderate shocks, to
other people, to be humorous.

Bob,

I don't recall modifying electrical plugs but I do tear off mattress tag
that says "Do Not Remove."

I consider myself a responsible, conscientious product safety engineer.
I wish to publicly announce that I grind off the polarizing ears on the
pins of all my US two pin power plugs.

So THERE. :^)
