List-Members, I certainly did not mean to start a long thread with my original question, which, re-stated once, was:
"If I have bought, or wish to buy a product with a CE mark applied, how can I find out what EMC requirements it met?" I believe the answer is in two parts: 1) Look at the Declaration of Conformity. 2) The DoC may simply reference the product category, so then I have to look at what EMC requirements are levied for that product category. I have received some comments to the effect that someone who has been around since dirt was new shouldn't have to ask these questions. All I can say is that most of the time I work military or aerospace EMC and don't work commercial product qualification. Can someone please tell me if there is a handy reference to check what EMC requirements apply to what product classes, and indeed what are the product classes?
