Be careful! EN 60950 is not harmonised under the Machinery Directive. If the equipment you are dealing with is properly described as a machine and is within the scope of the Machinery Directive, and you are CE marking it for selling in the EU, you should use the machinery safety standards such as EN 954-1, EN 1088 and EN 1037 as the basis of interlock design, not EN 60950. [I note that your question was in relation to UL 60950, so this warning may have no relevance to you, but just in case others think that responses may apply to EN 60950 as well...) Regards Nick.
