Before July 20, 2007 you need to use the 89/336/EEC. >From that until 20 July 2009, both are allowed. For products that leave you factory after July 20, 2009 the DoC needs to be updated to read 2004/108/EC.
There is a plan to make an interpretation document, similar that was done for 89/336. regards, Ari > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of > [email protected] > Sent: 04 January 2005 13:01 > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: Re: New EMC directive > > Does this mean that you can use either EMC Directive until 20 > July 2009? > > Bob Heller > 3M EMC Laboratory, 76-1-01 > St. Paul, MN 55107-1208 > Tel: 651- 778-6336 > Fax: 651-778-6252 > ============================================================== > ========== > ==================== > > > > <amund@westin-emi > ssion.no> > Sent by: > To > owner-emc-pstc@LI <[email protected]> > STSERV.IEEE.ORG > cc > > > Subject > 01/03/2005 04:20 New EMC directive > PM > > > > > > > > > > The new European Union EMC directive was published in the Official > Journal > on 31 December 2004. > > Check it out here > http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/lex/LexUriServ/site/en/oj/2004/l_ > 390/l_3902 > 0041 > > 231en00240037.pdf > > Best regards > Amund Westin, Oslo / Norway > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society > emc-pstc discussion list.
