Kevin, most of the companies like UL, CSA, TUVs, etc. have some form of
course offering. In fact if you are attending the IEEE PSES conference
in October, UL is offering a 25% discount for IEEE PSES members to stay
a couple extra days and take their HBSE course. For details see both
the UL site and the IEEE PSES sites:

        http://www.ieee-pses.org/symposium

        http://www.uluniversity.com/ (Hazard-Based Safety Engineering
Course)
UL will offer IEEE PSES members a 25% discount on the
course fee.

TUV Rheinland of North America is having its next 4 Day
Functional Safety Workshop
in Boston to be held from June 19-22, 2006. Info online
at www.us.tuv.com or
                call 1-888-743-4652.

http://www.eglobaled.org/ (I have not looked at this site, but
know its intent
was to educate on product safety)

Please note these just happen to be ones that where handy for me to
quickly respond with. There are others.

By the way for those of you who are not IEEE PSES members, we are now at
the time of year where you can join for half price. We also have an
affiliate program for those who already belong to other organizations
similar to the IEEE. Check out our form at:

Subject: Product Safety Educational Programs

Can anyone provide me with information on Product Safety training
courses that may be available through colleges/universities or private
sector (Laboratories, manufacturers etc). I know that many laboratories
offer 1-2 day seminars, but I am interested to see if there are courses
that go into much greater depth and detail.

Thank you,

Kevin Robinson
