Did you set the RF and video bandwidths so as to cope with the 'very fast' pulse you diagnosed? If you did, the SA's own noise might be a problem. If you didn't, you won't see the pulse, of course. You can perhaps detect a frequency-hopper, of course, by tuning your ham receiver. A very short pulse will show up at every frequency across a band, while a frequency hopper MAY show up only at discrete frequencies. -- OOO - Own Opinions Only.
