While these standards are consistent in the required rating information, not all have 'format' information. And where format information is provided, it is not clear if it is normative or informative. In any case, unless the std specifically says 'informative', I adhere to the example formats. In general, the rating formats that I apply to labels are formatted to comply with the agency that has issued a certificate for their mark. Most safety agencies that I work with provide docs specifying marking requirements and formats.
