I haven't seen it consistently either, but the new guide on the LVD seems to indicate that it is a requirement to mark transformers (and similar devices) with the CE mark. Who woulda thunk...

I would not say that it is necessarily universal practice, but it certainly exists. In such a case, I would expect the harmonised standard to be one of the parts of EN 61558. Best regards Neil R.
