This might also be glass-reinforced polyester molding compound (fiber glass, as I understand it, use epoxy resin). 'Glastic' is one brand of this material. It's the same material as that used for 'cherries' used to mount/isolate bus bar bus bar and the like. It's available in shapes, like angle and U-channel, and probably sheets, if you look hard enough. This material is rigid, fairly dense and can support a good amount of weight (it's used to restrict bus bar in switch gear under fault conditions; it's pretty tough). "Polyester molding compound" is a rather generic material type. Differing formulations may have different dielectric properties, as does polyethylene. Regards, Peter L.
