Niels - If I remember correctly (and it has been a long time since I had to do any click measurements), the use of the provisions for clicks relaxes the conducted emissions limits for discontinuous interference (the clicks). As the standards you referenced below do not have a requirement for clicks I think they could be considered more stringent in their requirements (i.e., if a product in the scope of those standards did produce clicks it would not get a relaxation in the conducted noise limits).
>From an EN perspective I suppose if you did have a device that used a product standard without provisions for discontinuous interference that could not meet the conducted emissions requirements, you could always apply the provisions for clicks from EN 55014 and document the fact in your technical file as justification for meeting the requirements of the EMC Directive versus meeting the requirements of the product specific standard. In a number of product standards for emission (i.e. EN 55011, EN 55022, EN 61326-1) there is no reference for measuring of click noise. Does this mean that there is no requirement for click noise for products under the scopes of these product standards, or am I missing something?
