ACIL (acil.org) has a standing position on ANSI C63 with a primary and an alternate rep; we attend every meeting, get to collaborate and vote on the standards. In addition, the draft versions are circulated--a sneak peek for members. It’s nicely leveraged. Others, like just about every European and ANSI committee have not even returned an email. A couple of phone calls faired no better. Hardly surprising I take delight in lambasting poorly written documents, or documents with an agenda. I too agree, that any document requiring compliance with by law, should be free. I was just looking into the cost of buying all CISPR 16 documents, over $3,000 US. Paper as valuable as diamonds! Ridiculous. My 10 cents worth.
