Hi Ralph, I have made many attempts to be a standards contributor: some like RTCA have been very receptive. Others, like just about every European and ANSI committee have not even returned an email. A couple of phone calls faired no better.
Hardly surprising I take delight in lambasting poorly written documents, or documents with an agenda. I too agree, that any document requiring compliance with by law, should be free. I was just looking into the cost of buying all CISPR 16 documents, over $3,000 US. Paper as valuable as diamonds! Ridiculous. My 10 cents worth.
