Probably not. It's a case for judgement, and something else - read on! I think a court would find it reasonable for documents related to regulations, i.e. safety, EMC and other EU Directives or the equivalent in other countries, to be kept for 10 years after production of the product ceased. However, a longer period would be required for products that normally have a longer useful life, such as the test gear in my lab. I don't actually have a TF144, but I suspect that some are still in use. (;-) The 'something else' is to explore with a really good commercial insurance broker whether you can insure at reasonable cost against any demand for data from way back, i.e. more that 10 years after production ceased. -- OOO - Own Opinions Only.
