If your industrial system can qualify as a Large-scale Stationary Industrial
Tool you may have the scope exclusion you seek, as this is a parenthetical
exclusion hidden in the Category 6 description of WEEE (which is currently
used to set the scope for RoHS). Neither doc contains a definition of LSIT,
but Commission guidance is available.

By the way, keep your eyes on the RoHS and WEEE recasts if exclusions and
exemptions are important for your business. Why the summary of output from
Parliament on this is saying an LSIT and Fixed Installation exclusion is
provided, some of the fine point detail may remove the benefit (unless Council
can get some clarifications or adjustments added)

X-radiation shielding and RoHS

Speak, O Oracle, and enlighten us with your wisdom,

Lead based shielding has normally used to contain x-radiation.

Under RoHS is there an exemption for the use of lead based
shielding
for industrial applications? If not, what substitutions are acceptable?

Thanx in advance for your response.

br, Pete
