A former employer (no longer in around) once had a rash of "warranty returns" that turned out due to memory boards with SI issues. We subsequently bought a specialized memory tester to reliably certify aftermarket memory without regard to our OWN equipment peculiarities. Memory related emission failures were usually due to periodic RAS and CAS. It's probable that series terminations would make differences between loads on these select lines less important.
