This is all my opinion.

The salary range needs to have some level of adjustment for the local cost of
living. Connecticut is not a cheap place to live, and the salary range seems
a little low. However, this is the lesser of my two considerations.

The qualifications and the job description don’t quite line up in my
opinion. I don’t know of many people with 3 – 5 years experience as a
compliance engineer who have experience driving industry and compliance
standards. Somebody who is already on a standards committees probably is
going to have much more experience. You probably can find somebody that has
the minimum qualifications who can handle the job description, but I
wouldn’t expect the combination to be common. I wonder if the company is
proposing the qualifications to try to find somebody who will accept the
offered salary. Based on the job responsibilities, I would expect that a
suitable candidate would get paid more.

I'm not likely to share my compensation numbers in public, but I can say that
I would not move for a pay cut like this. But, I have slightly more than the
number of years of experience requested, as well. :-)

IMHO - a market survey like this could be helpful to a lot of us listers.
Would prefer all responses to be online, and shared with the group.

Question for the PSES Group on this:

For the qualifications listed, and in CT, is the salary range

reasonable?

This is not meant to judge the recruiter or the company that they

recruit for, but more as market survey and searching for accurate data

as it relates to hiring compliance personnel. On or off line responses

welcomed.

Thanks,

Doug
