Yea, the last I knew the standards do not specify the coupling path(s) to use.
Like Bill, we test all combinations. I have heard from some that this is a
Common Mode test so you only have to test LNPE-GND but the test doesn't take
that long so why not do them all. We have seen products fail in some coupling
paths and not others, so this makes a strong case to test all.

For completeness, test everything. Late Friday I had a fail in this test. EUT
and AE are both two wire, no ground brick power supply operated.
Investigation begins Monday. It is not a consumer product.

Subject: EFT Power Port Coupling Paths

Dear Experts,

I checked several standards but they do not seem to dictate the coupling paths
to test. The equipment that we have, has all seven coupling paths for
single-phase power port: L-GND, N-GND, PE-GND, LN-GND, LPE-GND, NPE-GND,
LNPE-GND. Is it required to test all? Where is it mentioned (standard)?

**I used to test all seven paths when testing consumer products. Now I am
testing Industrial products and someone indicated to test only L-GND, N-GND,
PE-GND.

Thanks & Regards,
WNya
