Does anyone know the appropriate US/Canadian/EU/International product safety standard(s) for a typical PBX telephone system as might be used in a small business or hotel?

Hi Ken:

I normally use UL/CSA 60950 (Information Technology Equipment) for the USA and the various international adaptations of IEC 60950 in other countries.  For example, the corresponding standard for CE marking in Europe is EN 60950.

The texts of the various national versions of IEC 60950 are very similar, but not exactly identical.  The version with the biggest differences is the UL/CSA version used in North America.
