There are usually 'conditioned' cycles, typically just 10 to 100, for various environmental tests and under load conditions in UL817 and/or UL489 and UL60320-1; and several other that cannot be remembered for hot-swap and PV installs. In my favorite compliance reference, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, multiple insertion/extraction cycles are indicated.
