Use the "HAL Scope" (I think it's available in the AXIS menu in 2.0.4)
and scope the parport signals on the software side. This will show you
the value that EMC is sending to the parallel port. If you can record
the glitch in halscope, it'll point towards a software bug in emc2.
You can install an older version of the emc2 packages by running a
command like this in a terminal window:
sudo apt-get install emc2=1:2.0.1
(you can go all the way back to 2.0.0 in this fashion) if the behavior
goes away with a different version of the emc2 package, that really
helps us narrow down the change that introduced the problem.
