We'll have full documentation adapting Taig and probably Sherline
benchtop-mills into rapid prototypers on the main website. People will
probably come out the woodwork with adaptations for cnc routers chinese mill
drills and larger mills?

We've also got people making RepStraps out of copper pipe, wood, and legos.
(A RepStrap is a home-built RP machine, capable of making a RepRap or other
objects. A RepRap is an RP-fabricated machine, capable of making a RepRap or
other objects.)

For the curious, these are the relevant websites:

http://reprap.org/
http://reprap.blogspot.com/
http://reprappers.blogspot.com/
http://objects.reprap.org

and this is a link to the extruder head if you are looking for a weekend
project:
