I know that substitution is often not the best way to fix problems
but when everything else fails one can get pretty desperate and
frustrated.
Mazak takes the approach that all leads are shielded and the cables
all run thru a common area where about 2" of the insulation is
stripped off and the shields bonded (clamped) to a common strip.
This goes for encoder cables, servo power cables, etc.
I have tried shortening wires, adding grounds, checking grounds,
even asked the double E's at school.
Any ideas on how to reduce the noise, looking for any ideas at this
point no matter how crazy. If I have to stand on one foot while
operating my mill so be it.
