This is non-EMC related information. There is a rather rude but honest statement that goes "STFW". It means "Search the F***ing Web". In this case, the very first entry you get when you put Ubuntu Dialup Networking into Google is: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=390599 That is a forum specifically focused on helping people get dial-up working on Ubuntu. The people there are far more likely to be able to help you than we are. In addition, that post includes a link to the Ubuntu Dialup Modem HowTo: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DialupModemHowto A HowTo is exactly what it sounds like - step by step instructions telling you how to do something. We are happy to try to answer EMC related questions, and within limits we will answer general Linux questions when we can. But there is far more information out there on the web then we can possibly have. The first step when you have a problem is to try to find the answer yourself. Even the fastest mailing list response is slower than searching the web or reading the manual. And the satisfaction of finding the answer for yourself is worth something too!
