If the cd doesn't install a dialer the ubuntuforums probably wouldn't know about it unless it became a problem for them. Broadband is not available to me. Dial up is my only option. I tried to update emc2 using a usb drive but that doesn't work. It needs to go on the web, I can't get to the web, and around we go in big circles. BDI-4.51 has a usable dialer (kppp). I can't find one in emc2.
