Hi, so we can just close the case and forget about a public version of this. I could remove the text support from xfig, but i just don't think i want to as the current version works fine for me which imho is within the GPL.
Perhaps someone will do a similar thing for inkscape or so. Whoever wants to do this might contact me as the entire setup has/will still been extended. And it can e.g. now be combined with the eagle pcb layout program, meaning that you can re-import gcode converted pcbs into xfig and e.g. optimize single traces etc or add Text or modify the engraving depth for certain traces etc ... I'll at least put the updated versions of ngc2fig online and provide some screenshots to perhaps trigger someone else to redo this with a different sketch tool.
