weeell.. I won't say anything :-P That's because I do the same thing while at work. so I use pageant (friend of putty) to load the private key (it converted it initially from the openssh format to .ppk - putty's format), which sits nicely in my system tray. after the key is loaded, Tortoise just works, nothing else to set up.
