According to their "about us" page they have 1500+ computers serving 500,000 websites, attended by a staff of 70 people. They have been in business for 10 years, that's basically forever for an internet services company. We could go to a system like the Linux kernel uses. Each person keeps their own tree and submits patches for hopeful future inclusion in a release. My point being that a theoretically poor choice of hosts for the CVS server (where you can gain developer access simply for the asking) is hardly the worst situation anyone could imagine. The way things are set up now seems to suit the great majority of our currently productive developers.
