Hi,

Let's drop back one step. Download vsitest.c and compile it. It is a primitive diagnostic much like the ones for ppmc or stg. If you get that to work then the problem is not the card but something in the driver (unlikely) or
the .ini.

Use this link:

http://www.vitalsystem.com/web/motion/motionLite.php

then select "Linux code".

Keep kicking at it; you will get it to work.

Pentium4, 2ghz Dell Diminsion 8200 with 768megs of ram. First I installed the card with default jumper settings and then loaded EMC 2.2.2. All I/Os work fine. It should be set for board ID "0".....EMC will not run at all with the board removed using the Motenc config files. You should get error messages.....Did you also buy the 8/16 I/O boards and the analog card?

Hi,

You might try checking the board ID jumpers; it looks like both need to be in place for board 0.
I don't have a -Lite board but do have the 8 channel board.
Try starting emc with the board not installed and see if you get a message something like "board not found" or "board not installed". Usually almost the last thing in the error window.

Then check the jumpers, install the board and go again.

The "Lite" board was used in the Mazak conversion at Fest and worked quite well. Check the wiki for more information on the conversion.

Good luck.
