I am thinking about that. It is part of a voltage divider with 15 Volts at the top and a feedback signal on the bottom. See bottom middle "Welding Current": http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/Hobart_Cyber-TIG/Hobart_Cyber-TIG-1a.png http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/Hobart_Cyber-TIG/Hobart_Cyber-TIG-2a.png A digital pot would allow me to use the feedback as it is used now, but won't have nearly the resolution I need. I could use an ADC on the feedback, make a Hobart HAL component and output to a DAC. One problem is that this machine may not be worth the effort. -- Kirk Wallace (California, USA http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ Hardinge HNC/EMC CNC lathe, Bridgeport mill conversion, doing XY now, Zubal lathe conversion pending Craftsman AA 109 restoration Shizuoka ST-N/EMC CNC) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
