Oops, I did miss this point. So, now I need to think about, in velocity mode, what other inputs affect the data received from the jog wheel? I can see where you would what to control the velocity scale of the wheel output, but keep the over all axis velocity and acceleration limits constant. My guess is: An MPG should consist of a graduated wheel and a units per mark scale selector. If you reach a limit, there should be an alarm indicating that you reached a commanded position error and from where. A jog wheel should consist of an unmarked wheel and a velocity scale selector. If you reach a limit, at most, you receive a warning and get clamped to the limit. Jog override should only affect MDI and g-code commands? More thinking is in order on my part.
