They did one in 2008 at the Cabin Fever show using Fred Smiths http://www.imsrv.com servo system and ball screws from KDN tool. The servos are normally used on Sherline machines and the X2 mini mill worked just fine and had very good rapid speeds. I don't remember exactly whet they were but it was fast.
