I'm pretty sure you'd need to use the AFO (Adaptive Feed Override), 
which is internally clamped.  You'll get zero if you spin the MPG 
backwards.  I think it's limited to 1.0, and it's a scale factor like 
feed override.  It's called something like motion.adaptive-feed.

You do have to program M52 (or M52 P1) to enable AFO, and M52 P0 to 
disable it.
