Hello I want to ask about home made spindle belt drive. I look and found spindle with CAT 30 made in China but also in China for $ 1500. It looks good but too heavy for my application cutting wood plastic. Is there is some simple spindle on 2 or 3 bearings belt drive? I know about Colombo direct drive spindle. If I can find 2 round stock with one end machined to hold C5 collet than I can build spindle. Does this type of round stock 1.5-2 with one end machined to hold C5 collet exist or I need to machine everything?
