Hi all;

I have a rather weird thing that seems to have developed, apparently while
my 4th axis, a rotary table, was disconnected and machined so that it has a
good friction lock that can be mostly released by injecting high pressure
air into a groove in the face of the mating surfaces to lift and air
lubricate it, which of course also leaks into the whole of the casting &
tries to blow the grease out of the center bearing.

Anyway, something seems to be preventing the [ ] keys from linking to the C
axis for keyboard control. They will get a speed displayed in axis velocity
display, but the table gets no signals. It remains locked in position as
long as power is applied to the xylotex.

If I load up a file, and run that, it seems to work, and if I click on the C
dot, then click on + or -, that, like running the program will cause the
degrees displayed for C to change and the motor moves as expected.

Am I using the wrong keys? Or is axis stuck with keyboard controls only for
an A axis? I found no mention of this in the current (June 10-2010) user
manual pdf. Or for axis C from the keyboard, am I supposed to press c and
the + or - keys?

That would be acceptable even if it was a 2 handed operation as it would at
least make sense. Presently however, that combo moves the x axis.

I also was not able to find a definition of the
GEOMETRY = ZCYX statement in the .ini file.

Can someone expound on that please?
