your system? You could modify your program or write a tiny program

    I know I didn't answer your question, but maybe this will solve your
    problem. I don't know of any CNC system that will let you disable any
axis
    independently except to modify the setup parameters. A button to do
    that could be a lot of damage waiting to happen.
