*********************************** Hello Eric, My friend has posted recently on PM for this same problem, and someone there has posted a photo of the dismantled brake with supply leads and transient suppressor that looks very much like what we saw under the brake electrical connector when we took it apart. So it looks as if the brake is located where you say it is: on the shaft end of the motor. I am proposing that we pull off the brake electrical connector and try spraying some contact cleaner in there and then get a strap wrench on the ballscrew and see if we can break it free...
