Curiously, I am planning to make my own outrunner, to the extent that
I have bought the magnets.

My reason is that I need a very odd design of motor, that is not
available commercially (1" long, 2" shaft, 3" diameter..)

I have been thinking that laser-cutting of the laminations would be
easy enough, and that a 4-axis mill could very easily be persuaded to
do the core winding.
